Immigration Reflection

My definition of an immigrant would have to be somebody who lived somewhere else and moved to a new location and settled down in that new location and started there own family, job, civilization etc. Immigration effects the way I live for example, I eat different kinds foods like: Chines food, Mexican Food, Hawaiian food, Greek food, Indian food, etc, and they effect the way I live. If I was to eat just one kind of food, or live with the same kind of people, and play the same sports, there wouldn't be any sort of uniqueness to my life. Like the sang, “ Always remember, you are unique, just like everyone else.” If there was no such thing as Immigration, people would sit and wonder about the unknown, and whats out there and they would be missing so many opportunities to meet new things and learn. Immigration is very important! My basic nationality, that I proudly go by is African American. But I still have many mixtures of other nationality that show in my appearance. I am a mixture of African American, Indian,Creole and a few more. I think that many people come to the USA, that are from other country's and locations because I think of the USA as a diverse place where immigrants go. For example, here, we have people of all kinds of nationality's, but in other country's for example, China, you would see many Chinese people and less, African Americans or Caucasians. I have seen many things in San Diego were there are many signs of immigrations. For example, lots of schools here take Spanish class because we are nearer to the boarder, to where it would be different if we were in Illinois. We also have many restaurants of all cultures like Indian restaurants, Thai restaurants and Italian restaurants.
