Book Review Final Draft
Bethany Shedrick
This may sound silly, but I did not no that Jews were in hiding and suffering from the Nazi war in Amsterdam Holland. The Dairy Of a young girl-Anne Frank is a stupendous dairy, published into a book, found in 1944 (which is was written in 1942-1944) in the Secret Annex after the great war. The dairy is told from 13-15 year old Anne Frank and is about her life in hiding. In the beginning she moves from her home to live in hiding in the Secret Annex with her mother, father, sister, and the van Daan family. She writes as the long days past, the hilarious stories and events that accrue, and all of her similar thoughts that most girls have when going through tough times. The Author of this novel/dairy is Anne Frank, edited by Otto Frank( Anne Franks father.) Anne Frank writes from her heart on very critical details that will leave you with permanent chills. She is the voice of many girls like her. Spunky, rebellious, and talk-a-tive. If that description wows your personality then when you dive into her world, you will feel as if it were you talking instead of Anne Frank.
The reason this book was so interesting is the way she describes and paints interesting pictures in my head. “ I'm sitting here nice and cozy in the front office, peering out through a chink in the heavy curtains. It's dusky, but theres just enough light to write by.”
In the beginning, Anne describes everyone in her classes attitude and who they are. They seem like buddy's, but really, Anne only longs a true friend. A friend that will be by her side and never leave, a friend who makes her laugh and is fun to be around. But she doesn't see any of that in the friends that are before her very eyes. That's when she turns to her dairy which she calls, Kitty.
Dairy of Anne Frank is filled with interesting characters like Peter. Anne Frank has a crush on Peter really, really badly. But sometimes she feels that the same type of love is not coming back from him. Ms. Van Daan is another interesting character. She is very rude, mean, and loud. Have you ever felt the need to write down thoughts that want to spill over out of your mouth but can not because it is not the right time? Have you ever had a crush on the boy who was in hiding with you? Have you ever felt the need to slap a sarcastic woman who for some reason chose you for a target attack? If this has happened to you, I recommend that reading this book will give you hope and blissfulness to know that there is someone out there just like you! So read Anne Frank!

I really enjoyed how you described Anne Frank, how she acted and what she went through. I really also enjoyed how descriptive it was.
I liked how you describe when the book was found and from what time to what time the book was written. I liked how you described a lot about the book. I thought it was good that you described Anne's personality.
