TKAM Journal #5 from the perspective of Reverand Sykes

'S a good and... and  thing, Atticus does them chilluns. I'll start with.... the bad first. Not real bad, just a little abnormal in my views. What through meh off guard, last Sunday, was when Cal shows up at First Purchase, with the Finch chilluns under her wings. Like a mama figure. Second, she don't speak like us when she around them chilluns, and I find that very charismatic. You gonna understand, I'm not much of a detailed listener, but I learn new things 'bout her. I see where Cals coming from, and I favor that. But, I feel them chilluns to young to understand the links between envy and racism. Them kids, being put through a lot at such young ages. Phew! I can barely take it myself. Growing up, I didn't have a backbone, my guardians weren't real wise. They were good at hunting, picking cott'en, worshiping the lord, and firmness. But  everything else, they lacked knowledge for.

One thing I favor Atticus for, is his courage. It takes lots of determination to stick along with something so harsh upon him. But there will come a day, when evil will parish and holy blessings will rise. So when I saw Jan-I mean Jean Lousie and Jeremy emerge onto First Purchases porches, I felt a sense of assurance and awe-inspring that things will get better, even though 'tis yonders afar.

Yet, Lula's in her different state of mind. She real envious of things better- I mean things that appeal to be more studious and intellectual then her self. She don't believe in mingling with variety. She don't even play, wonder, sniff, touch, taste or seek variety in things. That's why she one-sided, like a one-sided horse. She don't see past the horse blinders she got in front of her twenty-fow!

These are the things that stick out the most, at this point. I hope they stick out to whom evah reading this journal entry.

My prayers are in the Robinson family.

You made this blog post sound very religious which is what I love about this post. You always try to capture the speaking style of the person who you are trying to be. Talking about both things you see and what you thought about them was cool.

You did a good job on this post because you did a good impression on Reverand Sykes because you made it is sound so much like their time period and the way the talk in the church.
